Testimonials

"On behalf of the Tel Aviv-Los Angeles School Twinning program, we want to thank you for your presentation on Israel Education at our retreat. Your framework of Multiple Voices, Multiple Meanings, and Multiple Disciplines provided our coordinators with a really effective means to gage the depth of their curricular work with their students, and provided an accessible way to build in, and ensure, some degree of complexity within their programs.  We now have a shared language we can use as we work with the coordinators on curriculum."

"With your wise guidance and enduring support, our Hebrew, Jewish Studies and General Studies faculty were able to successfully reimagine and deepen how our school taught Israel education across our K-8 program. You helped us both with the big picture and with articulating clear and manageable goals and was able to help us build upon our successes and inspire us to stretch and reach beyond what we perceived to be our limitations."

"Before taking the Teaching Israel course at AJU, teaching about Israel felt like navigating without a map through a landscape full of rich resources but also rife with conflict, sand traps and bogs.   Although I brought my experience as a veteran teacher of close to 30 years to the task, I quickly discovered that teaching about Israel requires its own understandings.  This course provided me with a map through the landscape of best practices in Israel education.  The impact on my teaching was immediate and beyond my expectations."
